Qing Shu Malatang

Place is great, tucked away in a small little plaza with a Kung Fu Tea and The Owl of Minerva in Markham. Honestly it’s a lot better than Bigway and for the price it’s by far better if you want a simple bowl of noodles and don’t wanna wait 1 hours. Quality of broth is very good and prices per gram in much better then most places i’ve been to.

Malatang is one of my favourite meals, especially in the winter! I have been to their yonge finch location but this was my first time at their steeles locationBoth delicious!! I love their signature broth and the variety they offer

I really enjoyed this store in downtown so I decided to take a visit to the Scarborough one. The quality of vegetables are really good here and the soup is really high quality. Their 2nd level spicy is perfect! Next time I will try the third level Although there was no pork meat when I visited here but I remember seeing one in dt location. I would definitely come here when I’m craving for malatang

First time trying Qing shu malatang and it was delicious!! I loved the soup base options compared to other mlt restos. I got the spicy beef bone (little spicy) and it was the perfect amount of spice for me. Usually when I ask for little spice at mlts it still comes out very spicy, so I definitely recommend Qing Shu if you're looking for something more mild but still very tasty. My friends got the tomato and pork bone and said they were both very flavourful as well!Prices were also very reasonable. There is also an unlimited sauce bar (for the sesame sauce lovers) and plum juice station. I will say that the sesame sauce at other mlts was more delicious, but the broth was so flavourful that I didn't even think I needed the sesame sauce. Overall great mlt and would definitely come again!!

I can’t believe I have been coming to this place for over five years now! Of course, there was a gap when I was away from the area for a while, but the good news is that the quality has never changed. That alone is worth a compliment. As always, I have to be mindful of the amount of toppings when choosing the stir-fried option. This time, I ended up with a 40 bill just for myself, but no regrets. It is great to see a place stay consistent for this long without compromising on quality. Although I feel like I should branch out and try different soup bases or stir-fried combinations, it is always nice to know that their spice level delivers at a budget-friendly price. Long live this spot!

Malatang allows you to customize what you want in your soup, with many selection of veggies, meat, fishballs, noodles etc. The soups they had were all delicious, including the tomato and recommended spicy soup base. We enjoyed the fresh toppings available and the wide selection of toppings.

Second time I went to Qing Shu Malatang. You find a table to sit. Then get up and take a bowl and tongs to pick your ingredients. Give the bowl to cashier and choose soup. Pay and they bring you the soup with the ingredients. Also cup and water. There is some sauce bar and free plum juice. First photo is recent and the second last year.
